Introducing HANAH Coffee Boost: Beauty

Healthier skin and hair starts from the inside

Maybe you have felt the brain-enhancing benefits of taking HANAH’s Coffee Boost or you love the increase in stamina and immunity with taking HANAH ONE. Our products have always focused on healing, reviving and maintaining the health of the body starting from the inside. Now, we have combined the best ayurvedic herbs and quality ingredients to give you a boost that can not only be felt on the inside, but also seen from the outside. We are excited to launch our newest product and addition to the Coffee Boost line — Coffee Boost: Beauty.

Coffee Boost: Beauty combines coconut milk powder with four powerful herbs (Turmeric, Holy basil, Acacia catechu and Indian madder) known for their rich antioxidant, adaptogenic and anti-inflammatory properties that help protect cells from free radical damage and support radiant skin and healthy hair. This unique blend enhances everything you already like about your daily coffee, while at the same time boosting skin and hair health from the inside. It also removes some of the potential pitfalls of coffee, like the spike and crash often associated with the use of caffeine.

Each ingredient in this formula was chosen with purpose, based on thousands of years of use in Ayurvedic medicine, to add an internal line of defense to maintaining healthy skin and hair. The saying “beauty is more than skin deep” is actually true. The vitality and health of our skin and hair is directly related to what’s going on inside of our bodies, including hormones, digestion, stress levels, circulation and immune system. Coffee Boost: Beauty takes a holistic approach to skin and hair by helping to balance these internal factors with five powerful ingredients.

Turmeric

Turmeric is a powerful anti-inflammatory herb that’s been used for centuries to treat a variety of ailments, including those related to skin. In fact, the Sanskrit name for turmeric means “Golden Goddess,” perhaps both for its characteristic golden color and for the benefits it bestows on its users’ skin. The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of turmeric’s main compound, curcumin, provide major benefits for the body, including the skin. Antioxidants protect the skin by scavenging free radicals that damage healthy skin cells, while anti-inflammatory agents block enzymes that cause inflammation and pain. In addition, antiseptic and antibacterial properties help to combat acne by inhibiting the growth of blemish causing bacteria.

Holy basil

Holy basil, also referred to as “Tulsi” is simply known as “the queen of herbs” in Ayurveda. Holy basil is credited with fighting acne and giving luster to the complexion by way of its antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties. In one study, researchers found that an herbal mixture with Holy basil had greater antibacterial activity against patients with acne than other conventional acne treatments. As an adaptogen that is rich in antioxidants, this herb acts as a shield for your tissues and organs, protecting you from internal sources of stress, like raised cortisol levels, or external sources, like harmful pollutants and physical exertion. The results of another study revealed that Holy basil leaf extract may be useful as a protective antioxidant supplement to combat oxidative stress-induced tissue damages. The queen of herbs’ powers culminate in clear, rejuvenated skin and strengthened hair roots.

Acacia catechu

Acacia catechu is considered one of the best herbs to treat skin disorders and other skin-related issues in Ayurvedic medicine. The bark of this plant is a strong antioxidant, astringent, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal (are you noticing a trend?), making it a go-to for Ayurvedic practitioners treating any kind of skin affliction — from acne and blemishes to eczema and hives. Various studies have shown that Acacia catechu is an excellent source of catechins and epicatechins as well as flavonoids, which have a high degree of antioxidant activity. This is believed to be responsible for the anti‐inflammatory and tissue protecting properties in the herb that can help fight skin disorders. In a 12-week study, Catechu exhibited significant anti‐inflammatory activity in subjects taking a daily dose of the herb, demonstrating its powerful potential in treating inflammation.

Indian madder

Indian madder, (or Rubia Cordifolia, Manjistha), possesses many benefits, but its primary function is to detoxify the circulatory and lymphatic systems. This might sound a little intense — we’re just talking about skin and hair health after all — but hear us out. These systems are responsible for a lot of things, including the transporting of blood, oxygen and nutrients to your cells and the removal of toxins. As Ayurveda’s quintessential blood purifier, Indian madder removes toxins from the blood and helps to maintain a healthy blood flow. All of this promotes clear skin, healing of skin injury or infection, and soothing of uncomfortable skin ailments. In addition, much like the aforementioned herbs in the formula, Indian Madder contributes to the protection and overall health of skin through its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

Coconut milk powder

Last but not least, the four powerful herbs in Coffee Boost: Beauty are blended with coconut milk powder. Sourced from Kerala, India, which translates to “land of coconut trees,” these coconuts are prized for their quality and rich oil content. Not only does this ingredient provide a smooth, rich taste to your morning brew, but it boasts a multitude of benefits. Along with being packed with vitamins and minerals, the healthy fats in coconut milk help to transport the herbs deep into the body’s tissues for maximum absorbency. Studies suggest that coconut milk’s MCTs have certain anti-aging effects and may help lower inflammation. Pro-inflammatories, such as sugar, are linked to low immunity, swelling and other body conditions. Replacing sugar with coconut milk can help reduce these conditions while also promoting stronger, thicker hair and a youthful complexion.

Coconut milk also helps to even out the body’s absorption of caffeine, which eliminates the spike and crash sometimes associated with caffeine consumption and allows the benefits of your coffee or tea to last longer into the day. Additionally, coconut milk powder is dairy-free, making it a better option for anyone who’s lactose intolerant or has a dairy allergy.

Inner health and outer beauty are not mutually exclusive — they go hand in hand. At HANAH, this is how we approach each of our products: from a holistic point of view. There is not a miracle product or cure-all to achieve perfect health or beauty. The truth is that clear, glowing skin and strong, full hair are directly correlated to your overall health and wellness. For long-term solutions to common problems such as hair loss or acne, it’s important to consider the wholeness of the body and mind and start from the inside.
