No, we recommend not refrigerating your jar of HANAH ONE. In fact, HANAH ONE is best kept at a natural room temperature, as it allows for easier digestion and absorption by your body.
Is HANAH ONE gluten free? +
Yes, HANAH ONE is completely free of gluten, wheat, lactose, and soy ingredients.
Is the ghee hormone and gmo-free? +

There are nearly 20 servings of HANAH ONE per jar.
Why isn’t HANAH ONE organic? +
Registering for official organic status is planned. Our herbs grow wild and are hand-harvested. Our Ayurvedic ghee is from free–range cows that graze the mineral rich lands of Kerala, India.
How much sugar is in a teaspoon of HANAH ONE? Isn’t sugar bad for you? +
A teaspoon of HANAH ONE contains 5g of natural sugars. These natural sugars are made up of fruit sugars, honey, natural cane sugar, and the natural sugars in ghee. To give you some reference, a large peach has 16g of sugar. Ayurveda teaches that there are six tastes that should be eaten at all meals. Sweet tastes nourish and invigorate the mind, relieve hunger, and improve the immune system. According to Ayurvedic tradition, sweets such as natural cane sugar and honey are associated with happiness, contentment, calmness, cheerfulness, love, and satisfaction when eaten in appropriate amounts.
What is the difference between Ayurvedic ghee and clarified butter? +
Clarified butter is obtained by separating the cream from milk and by heating it. Ayurvedic ghee is made from fermented butter churned out of yogurt or curd. This ghee is particularly digestible and highly helpful to the brain. Ayurveda teaches that ghee brings vitality and satwik to the body and mind. Ghee has the quality of mrdu, or softness, and is said to be a food of immortality because it lends overall strength and luster to the body. Ghee also helps with the toxicity of over thinking. Ayurveda teaches that those that use their brains for future planning too often feel a certain kind of stress that ghee can help to calm. The ghee also helps with the absorption of the botanicals.

HANAH ONE is a rasayana. Rasayana is a Sanskrit word with the literal meaning of ‘path of essence’. A rasayana is a tonic of immortality created to bring balance and vitality to the body and mind and is said to be helpful in cell repair, rejuvenation, glandular and enzymatic activities, and maintaining body metabolism. Among the ingredients inHANAH ONE that Ayurveda considers especially important to aerobic activity are gooseberry (thought to improve blood health) and termanlia bellerica (said to be useful in rejuvenation, the reduction of breathing distress, and improvement of digestion). We recommend 18 months as a maximum time for HANAH ONE to sit on your shelves. Over time you will notice that the honey crystallizes, causing the product to thicken, but this does not impact the efficacy nor quality of the product.
Why does the consistency of HANAH ONE seem different this month? +
HANAH ONE is an artisanal product made from seasonally sourced wild-harvested ingredients, so every batch is a little different. Factors such as the time of harvest, weather, soil, and climate can affect the consistency and taste of each batch. The result is an ever evolving traditional Ayurvedic supplement. The efficacy of the product is consistent no matter the season, as the selection of herbs and the formula are based on thousands of years of traditional knowledge and experience. Since we use no preservatives, the viscosity may also evolve over time and naturally thicken.

The rare Vechur cow breed is native to Kerala, India and has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years as a powerful source of healing. 250° Celsius or 482° Fahrenheit. This is in comparison to extra virgin olive oils smoke point of 160°C (320°F) or butter 177°C (350°F).

Our ashwagandha powder is best consumed within 60 days upon opening.
How much should I take? +
One rounded teaspoon is a good starting dose, and as always, you can adjust your dosage as necessary to suit your specific needs. Following traditional methods, we suggest taking the product for a month and then pause for few days to give the body rest.
Should I take it with food or on an empty stomach? +
HANAH Ashwagandha can be taken with or without food. A simple way to take it is to mix it with an herbal tea or food that is not too spicy or hot. Check out some of our recipes here.
Are there any contraindications for taking this herb? +
A dietary supplement does not induce instant response like extracts or medicines. This is because they are digested, absorbed, and utilized like any other food in the body. Like any other dietary supplement, it may be avoided during pregnancy, and lactation. Patients on medication for insomnia, stress, thyroid functions, and diabetes should watch how the body responds when ashwagandha is included in the diet.
What’s the best way to store HANAH Ashwagandha? +

Why are there different colors of ashwagandha? +
Differentiation in color is due to the soil and other conditions of where the root is cultivated. Traditionally, it is the root with a light brownish white color that is used.
What makes HANAH Ashwagandha different from other products? +
HANAH Ashwagandha powder is processed with milk using special Ayurvedic methods so that it becomes more of a dietary supplement. Since milk is also considered a rasayana in Ayurvedic medicine, the combination makes HANAH Ashwagandha a double rasayana. Moreover, milk as a complete food is smoothly absorbed through the micro-channels of digestion, making HANAH Ashwagandha better absorbed than other ashwagandha products.
What unique steps are taken when creating our product that aren’t necessarily followed by others? +
Unlike many others, we source organically-grown roots and use traditional Ayurvedic methods to process Ashwagandha with traditional cow’s milk. This process serves to cut the bitterness from the root that is found in many traditional forms of Ashwagandha.
Why powder instead of capsule form (like so many people offer in the USA)? +
Our recommended dose is 1 teaspoon (5 grams), which could be up to ten 500mg capsules! Furthermore, the loose powder form allows the product to be dissolved into a warm liquid, improving upon the body's absorption.
What’s the best way to take HANAH Ashwagandha? +
The best way to take HANAH Ashwagandha powder is by dissolving it in a glass of warm water or tea.

We love our products and we think you will too, but we understand that relationships don't always work out. However, because our product is a food item, we cannot accept returns. However, if you are ever dissatisfied with our product, you can receive a full refund up to 60 days after your purchase.
